PURPOSE:To provide a method for advantageously producing a carbonic acid ester by increasing the rate of reaction and sufficiently turning over a catalyst in synthesizing the carbonic acid ester using inexpensive carbon dioxide as a raw material. CONSTITUTION:The characteristic of this method for producing a carbonic acid ester comprises adding amines, phosphines, ammonium salts, phosphonium salts, alkali carbonates, crown ethers, etc., as a cocatalyst in reacting an alcohol with carbon dioxide in the presence of a catalyst composed of a metallic compound and producing the carbonic acid ester. |
