PURPOSE:To miniaturize a waveform memory without injuring tone quality and to improve efficiency by matching with a time change of a waveform spectrum and changing a sampling rate when the waveform data are stored in the waveform memory. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a correction frequency data generation circuit 24 generating the correction frequency data suiting to the time change of the sampling rate in the waveform data according to the advance of phase information by a phase information generation means generating the phase information of a musical sound based on a pitch by a pitch instruction means. Then, the sampling rates when a spectrum change is violent at the time of the rise of the musical sound and when the spectrum change of the musical sound arrives at a stable stationary state are changed according to the lapse of the time, and the waveform data are read out and pronounced at a speed according to the lapse of the time at the time of pronounciation. Thus, according to a pronounciation condition, the sampling rate at the time of starting the pronounciation is made dense, and the same at the time of arriving at the stationary state is made rough. Thus, the memory is reduced without injuring tone quality. |
