PURPOSE:To improve starting reliability and to increase efficiency and torque by setting equal the number of slots of a stator core and the number of poles of a rotor magnet and by setting the electromagnetic pole of stator teeth in opposite polarity to an opposing magnetic pole of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:When a coil 24 of a stator 26 is driven by a motor drive circuit 42, teeth 38 of a stator core 22 are magnetized so that adjacent tips 40 become different poles. When a rotor 32 is started, the boundary of the magnetic pole of a magnet 30 is detected by a sensor 36 and an electromagnetic property which is in opposite polarity to the opposing magnetic pole of the rotor magnet 30 is formed at each tip 40 by switching conduction direction to the coil 24 with the detection signal, thus continuously feeding rotary force to the rotor 32. The number of the teeth 38 of the stator 26 and the number of the magnetic poles of the rotor magnet 30 are multiples of 2 and are equal so that the motor operates as a synchronous motor and a torque is generated between the magnetic poles in rotation, thus generating a large torque as the entire rotor 32. |
