PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorocopolymer composition which can give a vulcanizate having low compression set by mixing a specified fluoroterpolymer with a di(alkali metal) salt of a bisphenol compound. CONSTITUTION:Tetrafluoroethylene, perfluoro(methyl vinyl ether) and 1,1,3,3,3- pentafluoropropene are subjected to emulsion polymeriztion at 40-85 deg.C under a pressure of 3-8 MPa in the presence of a water-soluble inorganic peroxide or a redox catalyst to obtain a fluorocopolymer comprising 45-80mol% tetrafluoroethylene, 20-50mol% perfluoro(methyl vinyl ether) and 0.1-5mol% pentafluoropropene and having a viscosity etasp/c of 0.5-5dl/g as measured at 35 deg.C in an inert liquid based on perfluoro(2-butyltetrahydrofuran). 100 pts.wt. this copolymer is mixed with 0.5-10 pts. wt. di(alkali metal) salt of a bisphenol compound. |
