PURPOSE: To prevent dazzling feeling and to improve diagnosis evaluation by converting an image part in an image area which is not related to diagnosis in a radiography image into an intensity value which effectively masks off light transmitted by the image part. CONSTITUTION: A radiographic image reader 1 transmits a digital image signal obtained by scanning, extracting and quantifying the radiographic image of a patients to a picture processor, for example. The picture processor 7 stores the signal in an inner buffer frame and temporarily stores it in a hard disk. The image is transmitted to a preview display device 5. An original image is mapped to the intensity value corresponding to an appropriate sensitometry and is D/A-converted. The modulation device of a laser recording device 6 is controlled and hard copy is generated on the radiophaphy. Then, the electric signal of an image point, which is contained in an image area, which is not related to diagnosis in the radiography image, is converted into the intensity value by which light transmitted from a console screen by the image part is effectively masked off. |
