<p>PURPOSE:To produce a diaminouracil compound of high purity useful as a raw material for medicines in high yield with simple operations by hydrogenating a nitrosoaminouracil in the presence of a platinum group metal catalyst. CONSTITUTION:This method for production of the objective compound of formula II is carried out by hydrogenating a nitrosoaminouracil of formula I (R<1> and R<2> are H, an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, etc.) in the presence of a platinum group metal catalyst (preferably platinum-carbon, palladium oxide, etc.) and conducting a hydrogenation reduction. In addition, the catalyst is used preferably in an amount of 0.1 to 100wt.% based on the nitrosoaminouracil. Further, the above- mentioned reaction is preferably conducted in an aqueous solvent such as water- methanol at 20 to 40 deg.C under 0 to 5kg/cm<2> (gage pressure) hydrogen pressure. In addition, 1,3-diethyl-5-nitoroso-6-aminouracil is exemplified as the compound of formula I and this compound can synthesize 1,3-diethyl-5,6-diaminouracil as the compound of formula II.</p> |
