<p>PURPOSE:To realize reverse reproduction with addition of a small scale hardware even when resolution of reverse reproduction picture is somewhat sacrificed. CONSTITUTION:Picture compression data are picture data decoded by using a variable length coding decoder and Huffman decoder section 22, an inverse discrete cosine transformation device and inverse quantization device section 23, an in-frame and inter-frame prediction processing unit and motion compensation processing unit 24, a prediction processing memory 25 and a picture display output buffer memory 26. In the case of reverse reproduction, a resolution converter 41 reduces a picture size and a frame thinning/insert processing section 42 implements inter-frame thinning/insert processing, a picture frame time axis conversion section 43 and a frame memory 44 set the display sequence of frames and outputted to an output terminal 27 as reverse reproduction picture data.</p> |
