PURPOSE:To provide a position displaying device for many similar articles, by which many arranged similar articles can be easily discriminated. CONSTITUTION:A data retrieving means 33 retrieves from a storing means 38, a positional data for constituting a data pair with a password to be given from an input means 27a. The retrieved positional data is displayed on a display means 27b by a display control means 34. A positional data specifying means 31 specifies the order of arrangement of the positional data according to the data to be given from the input means 21a. A password setting means 32 sets passwords on similar articles according to the data to be given to the input means 27a and stores them into the storing means 28.
