PRODUCTION OF UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESIN MOLDING

PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing an unsaturated polyester resin molding having an excellent design so as to emboss the molding with a beautiful pattern with use at a place using water. CONSTITUTION:A first unsaturated polyester composition (I) comprises 200-600 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler subjected to surface treatment with a coupling agent to be bonded to an unsaturated polyester resin based on 100 pts.wt. of an unsaturated polyester resin. A second unsaturated polyester resin composition (II) comprises 200-400 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler not subjected to surface treatment with the coupling agent based on 100 pts.wt. of an unsaturated polyester resin. These unsaturated polyester resin compositions are blended in the weight ratio of the composition (I/II) of 5/95 to 95/5 so as to form a sea-island structure to form a molding material. The molding material is molded by heating under pressure.
