Suckable, swallowable and chewable oral dosage forms of a pharmaceutical composition suitable for oral administration for almost all patients comprising: a therapeutic agent which comprises at least one thyroid hormone; from about 60 % to about 90 % by mass of an inert diluent which is a sugar or sugar alcohol; from about 5 % to about 35 % by mass of disintegrating agent; and from about 0.1 % to about 5 % by mass of a lubricating agent have utility in the treatment of disorders associated with the improvement of the thyroid hormone function in animals including human beings. |
