<p>A powder injector for forming a powder-air mixture and conveying the mixture to a powder-coating gun is provided. The injector consists of a powder-suction line (15), an injection nozzle (12) inserted in the powder-suction line, a catching nozzle (13) connected downstream of said injection nozzle (12) in the flow direction and having a connected Venturi tube (14), a conveying air feed line (17) with control valve for feeding the injection nozzle (12) and a metering air feed line for feeding metering air outlet openings (23) which open into the Venturi tube (14). The metering air feed line consists of two parallel branch lines (19, 20) which start from the conveying air feed line (17) and open into a common feed channel (21) to the metering air outlet openings (23). In one of the two branch lines (19, 20) a metering air control valve (24) is seated which can be actuated by the air pressure prevailing in the conveying air feed line (17). <IMAGE></p> |
