PURPOSE:To obtain the subject food material with mellow flavor, having palate feeling different from that of conventional fish flour-like foods for e.g. boiled rice (with tea), by admixing ground fish meat and/or vegetable protein with a flavoring material followed by molding, steaming, drying and then shaving into flakes. CONSTITUTION:Ground fish meat and/or vegetable protein (e.g. soybean protein) is admixed with a flavoring material followed by molding, steaming, drying, and then shaving into flakes. The flavor of the flavoring material (e.g. salmon, shrimp, crab, laver, mushroom, shiitake mushroom, plum flesh) is thus included in a heated and gelled masking material, being preserved for a long time. |
