PURPOSE:To relieve a shock at the completion of the movement of a buckle by providing a deceleration means to reduce the movement speed of the buckle immediately before the movement of the buffle is completed. CONSTITUTION:When a deceleration detection sensor 40 detects an abrupt deceleration over a specified limit produced when a self-vehicle is collided, it sends a signal to an inflator 36. The inflator 36 receives the signal, and immediately ignits gas generating agent to produce gas. Then the gas is filled into a cylinder 38, a piston in the cylinder 38 is moved in the direction of A by the gas pressure, and the cable 42 connected to the piston is pulled in the same direction. A buckle 28 is moved by the cable 42, and a hook 62 is braked by a tapered part formed at an opening part 32. Thus the movement speed of the buckle 28 is reduced so as to relieve as shock at the completion of the movement. |
