WATER STRUCTURE OF GROMMET AND ITS WATER PROOFING METHOD

PURPOSE:To fill fillers in an easy method and confirm a condition after hardened and obtain high water-proofing properties. CONSTITUTION:A water-proof part comprises a comb-teeth-like insertion plate 33 having a plurality of comb teeth that are inserted into between wires 7 of a wire harness W; and fillers 9 that are filled between the electric wires 7 in a condition that each comb tooth of the comb-teeth-like insertion plate 33 is inserted into between the electric wires 7, and that are integrally hardened with the comb-tooth-like insertion plate 33 and electric wire 7. The water-proofing part provided with an external periphery projecting to the radial direction of the wire harness W is provided in the wire harness W, which is inserted into an electric wire inserting part 72 of a grommet 71. The water-proofing part is pressingly inserted into the electric wire inserting part 72 so that an inner surface 75 of the electric wire inserting part 72 is closely in contact with the external periphery of the water-proofing part, to be held within the grommet 71.
