PURPOSE:To provide an SIMD system numerical operation processor capable of efficiently executing arithmetic processing. CONSTITUTION:An instruction is applied from a control unit 20 to respective arithmetic units 10-1 to 10-n in common through an instruction broadcasting bus 21. Each of the units 10-1 to 10-n includes a processing data input port 14, an address data input port 15, a processing data output port 16, and an address data output port 17. Address data appearing in the address ports 15, 17 specify the addresses of a local memory 11. Each of the units 10-1 to 10-n reads out corresponding numerical data from the memory 11 and executes arithmetic processing by the use of a computing element group 12 and a register group 13 in accordance with the instruction applied front the unit 20. The addresses of the local memory 11 in each arithmetic unit can be independently specified. |
