PURPOSE:To precisely detect frost formation and perform defrosting operation. CONSTITUTION:A frost formation detecting sensor 13 is provided at a location where blast from a fan 1 provided near an external side heat exchanger and a driving wind blow, and is covered by a heat insulating material which serves to insulate the detecting sensor from thermal effect produced by other sources than the external side heat exchanger.
