METHOD FOR ASSAY OF BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES

A method for the assay of inulin in a sample comprising the steps of: (1) removing from the sample, glucose and fructose through a membrane; then (2) treating the sample obtained from the above step 1 under acid-hydrolysis conditions capable of hydrolyzing inulin to fructoses; and then (3) measuring the amount of fructoses in the sample obtained from the above step 2 is disclosed. According to the method, a disease lowering a kidney function can be diagnosed.
