<p>PURPOSE:To prevent underflow and to reduce a delay time by absorbing a delay fluctuation with a buffer and resetting a cell decomposing device when number of cells stored in the buffer exceeds a prescribed number. CONSTITUTION:Every time a cell decomposing device 10 finishes decoding of one cell, the device 10 outputs an underflow signal to urge transfer of a cell to a delay absorption buffer 3. When number of cells stored in the buffer 3 exceeds a reference number, a cell number detector 20 outputs a reset signal to the cell decomposing device 10 to abort a cell during processing and gives an underflow signal to the buffer 3 to allow the buffer 3 to transfer a succeeding cell. Thus, the delay is recovered and the underflow is prevented and the delay time is reduced.</p> |
