PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a disk reproducer by shortening the time to access a disk recording medium just by changing the access system of a disk auto-changer without causing the extreme increase of the cost. CONSTITUTION:A transfer part 20a of a disk auto-changer 20 has an access to one of plural disk recording media and takes it out. Then this selected recording medium is sent to one of reproducer means 11-13 and reproduced there. In such a constitution of a disk reproducer, the auto-changer 20 estimates the position of the recording medium to receive the next access. Then the waiting position of the part 20a is varied so that it can wait at a position closest to the extimated access position. Therefore it is possible to estimate the next access position of the auto-exchanger 20 and to make the part 20a wait at a position closest to this estimated access position. Thus the access distance can be reduced. |
