PURPOSE:To improve the real-time properties in a computer graphic system. CONSTITUTION:A cell including an observer is decided (S1), and a stub tree of the cell is obtained (S2). Then this cell is defined as a current one (S3). The information on the objects included in the cell are registered (S4). Then it is checked whether each portal of the cell is closed based on the prescribed data (S5, S6). If each portal is closed, the information on the objects included in the parts interrupted by the closed portals are not registered. Thus the unnecessary data processing can be evaded. If each portal is opened, a cell of a lower rank of the stub tree is defined as a current cell (S7) and the same processing is carried on. Thus it is possible to reduce the quantity of data to be processed and to improve the data processing speed in a computer graphic system. |
