PROCESSING METHOD FOR WASTE SALT

PURPOSE:To effectively process waste salt generated in reduction extraction process and electrolysis purification process in the dry separation process of high level waste liquid by using molten metal cathode and carbon anode and making alkali metals in waste salt to alloy through electrolytic reduction. CONSTITUTION:In an alumina vessel 11, molten lead and matters to be processed are filled as cathode 12 and a carbon rod arranged in quartz tube 16 having a quartz diaphragm 15 at the bottom is filled as anode 14. To avoid that the chlorine gas generated at the anode 14 reacts with the cathode 12 and reduce the current efficiency, a quartz-made stirring propeller is contained in the cathode to stir the cathode. One or more of alkali metals, alkaline earth metals and rare earth elements in the waste salt are alloyed by electrolytic reduction to obtain an allay. To the obtained alloy in molten state, flux is added and gas including oxygen is reacted and these oxide is transported into slag.
