TIMER ANNUNCIATOR AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: To simplify operations of registration of a sound, time setting and timer starting in a sound timer alarm by determining a relation between record timing of an alarm sound and start timing of the timer in advance and thus starting it automatically. CONSTITUTION: A speech processing LSI 52 comprises: a processing and controlling circuit 52b for a sound; sound memory 52a for holding sound information; and amplifying circuit 52c for amplifying input and output signals of a microphone and speaker. The speaker 12 is an audio speaker and regenerates the sound information stored in the sound memory 52a for outputting. A microphone 14 receives a sound voiced by a user, convert it to an electric signal. The signal is processed in the amplifying circuit 52c and sound processing circuit 52b and stored in the sound memory 52a. The timer alarm works as a timer which records a sound voiced by a user and utilizes the speech as an alarm sound. It continues to record a sound while a user continues to operate time setting keys 21 to 23 and automatically starts a timer when the keys are released.
