<p>PURPOSE:To light a fluorescent lamp with a sufficient luminescence quantity by connecting a preheating means to the fluorescent lamp so that depolarization spots are formed on the fluorescent lamp at the time of excitation by a primary lighting means. CONSTITUTION:The current I passing through a choke 5 is branched into I1, I2. Values of I1, I2 are determined by the impedance of the Ns1 winding of a preheating transformer 7. A spot S1 is formed on a filament F by the current I1, and a spot S2 is formed on the filament F1 by the current I2. Spots S3, S4 are likewise formed on a filament F2, and the current I flows among these spots S1-S4 as the current of a fluorescent lamp 6. Impedances of the Ns1 winding and Ns. winding of the transformer 7 are determined by the polarities of these windings. When the polarities of the windings Ns1, Ns2 are selected, the number of spots formed on the filaments can be selected to one or a multiple number.</p> |
