<p>PURPOSE:To provide a grommet for a wire harness which has excellent property to install in wall plates of vehicles, appliances, etc., and in which water-proofness of penetrated parts are stable for a long duration by attaching a specified apparatus to the grommet. CONSTITUTION:A grommet 1 for a wire harness has a funnel-like shape having a through tubular part 2 with a small diameter into which a wire harness 8 is inserted and a wall plate installation part 3 which is a circular body with a large diameter and has a U-shaped fitting groove 4 formed in the outer circumference circularly to be fitted with and fixed in a fitting hole 6 of a wall plate 5 of a vehicle. Regarding the grommet 1, in a hollow part 9 of the wall plate installation part 3, there are a grommet diameter widening part 10 and a diameter widening part stopping part 11 wherein the part 10 has a diameter widening blade 17 whose blade tip is set to face the back side of the fitting groove 4 and diameter of the part 10 can be freely widened or narrowed, and the part 11 puts the diameter widening part 10 in a diameter widening posture. A diameter widening apparatus 12 preferably composed of a lock hole 22 and a lock projected part 23 to lock the diameter widening posture is attached to the hollow part. Consequently, attributed to the diameter widening posture, the diameter of the wall plate installation part 3 is forcedly widened.</p> |
