A floor for industrial use, including at least one covering layer on a new or existing concrete base, said covering being non-rigidly connected to the concrete base and the upper surface of said concrete base being treated by (a) smoothing said upper surface so that its flatness/roughness is less than 2 mm under a 2-metre rule, said smoothing being achieved through mechanical floating or, preferably, by applying at least one layer of self-levelling material (hereinafter the "smoothing layer") which is also adhered to the concrete base; (b) depositing at least one material for preventing adhesion between the first covering layer and the smoothed surface of the base (hereinafter the "adhesion-preventing material"); and (c) depositing at least one covering layer contacting the adhesion-preventing material, said covering being reinforced over the entire treated surface.
