<p>PURPOSE:To secure camera shake detecting accuracy required on a telephoto side and to shorten a release time lag on a wide angle side by changing a sampling time when a detection signal obtained from a camera shake detection means is averaged in accordance with the focal distance of a variable power photographing optical system. CONSTITUTION:This camera is provided with a zoom state detection circuit(focal distance detection means) 54 detecting the focal distance of a photographing lens. A zoom state detection circuit 54a is started after turning on a release switch SW1, a timer is started immediately after starting the sampling of a sensor signal, and a timer time in accordance with the focal distance of the photographing lens is read out when a release switch SW2 is turned on, then the sampling of the sensor signal is finished when the time is up. Thus, the sampling time when the detection signal obtained from the camera shake detection means is averaged is changed in accordance with the focal distance of the variable power photographing optical system.</p> |
