PURPOSE:To prevent the overshoot at rising time in a thermal fixing device and a color image forming device using the same for thermal fixing a toner image. CONSTITUTION:The thermal fixing device for thermal fixing the toner image on the recording medium is provided with a heating roller 50 having a heat source and located on the toner image side of the recording medium for fixing the toner image, a pressing member located on the opposite side to the toner image on the recording medium, a temp. detecting means 59a for detecting the temp. of the heating roller 50, and a control circuit 71 for controlling the heat source of the heating roller 50 by comparing the detecting temp. of the temp. detecting means 59a with a set temp. and controlling the energy generation of the heat source so as to be successively reduced after successively raising the set temp. stepwise at the rising time of the device. Otherwise, the temp. detecting means 59a is disposed in the position for detecting the temp. of the pipe stock. |
