<p>PURPOSE:To restrain galloping by coupling the conductor elements of upper, middle and lower phases on the windward side and leeward side according to a predetermined order through dielectric interphase spacers thereby restraining the twisting. CONSTITUTION:Dielectric interphase spacers 1, 2, 3, 4 are set between an upper phase double conductor A, a middle phase double conductor B and a lower phase double conductor C. When ice-accretion (i) takes place on the side face of each windward conductor element facing a horizontal wind to cause galloping, the upper phase double conductor A begins to twist in the arrow direction R and a conductor element B2 on the rear side of the.lower middle phase double conductor B is pulled up in the arrow direction L through the interphase spacer 1. Consequently, the upper phase conductor A and the middle phase conductor B are twisted reversely to bring about a reverse phase twisting. It is also true for the middle and lower phase conductors B, C coupled through the interphase spacers 3, 4 and thereby galloping is prevented.</p> |
