PURPOSE:To provide a combining system for screens for multi-spot conference which can shorten delay time cause by screen combination and can reduce the storage capacity of buffer memories. CONSTITUTION:One screen for each of terminals A-D is divided into three GOB by a QCIF system, compressively encoded and respectively stored in buffer memories 12a-12d. A GOB detection circuit 13 detects the GOB storage positions of the buffer memories 12a-12, detects the storage of screen data for one screen in one buffer memory or more and transmits a control signal to a control circuit 14. By the control of the control circuit 14, a combining multiplexer circuit 15 inserts a GOB '0' with no screen data into the GOB of the buffer memory for which one screen is not arranged, for example, and four screens are combined into a data sequence based on a CIF system and are outputted in order. On the other hand, a bit rate adjusting part 18 of the control circuit 14 adjusts a transmission line bit rate so as not to disturb a transmission line even when the data of GOB '0' are inserted. |
