<p>PURPOSE: To provide a graphic display for portable small-sized computer which has a small size and high resolution by combining a Schlieren optical system and a variable mirror device with each other. CONSTITUTION: Of the light emitted front a light source 101, the part made incident to the light reflecting section of a Schlieren optical device 106 reaches a variable mirror device 109 through a lens 107. The part which passes through the light transmitting section of the optical device 106 is reflected by a plane mirror 110. The mirror device 109 comprises a plurality of mirror cells which can be deformed individually and, when the mirror cells are not deformed, the device 109 works as a plane mirror and reflects the light made incident through the lens 107 to the light reflecting section of the optical device 106. When the mirror cells of the device 109 are deformed, the light reflected by the deformed mirror cells is deviated front the optical path of the optical device 106 and reaches a display screen through an optical path 113 after passing through the light transmitting section of the optical device 106.</p> |
