PURPOSE:To omit a labor and time needed for purchase of the commutation tickets and for the fare adjustment procedures and to improve the service for passengers by collating a specific section defined on a ticket with both get-on and get-off stations written on the ticket and writing the new adjustment amount information on the ticket. CONSTITUTION:When a passenger ticket 2 is put into an automatic ticket examining device 1, a type judging part 11 judges the type of the ticket 2. Then a reading part 12 reads the entering/leaving directions set to the device 1 and also the contents of the ticket 2. Based on the contents read at the part 12, a section limit judging part 13 judges whether the ticket 2 is available or not. If the part 13 judges the need for adjustment of the fare, a fare calculating part 14 calculates the fare of adjustment. Then this calculated fare amount is subtracted from the balance of adjustment stored previously in the ticket 2. Thus the amount decided by the subtraction is written on the ticket 2 by a writing part 15 as the new balance of adjustment. |
