Lighting and ventilation distributor for public transport passenger vehicle

A distributor assembly (7, 8, 9) for the interior of a public conveyance e.g. a railway coach, bus or tram, forms part of the ceiling structure above the passenger seats (not shown) and comprises a number of concave curved surfaces of fibreglass or similar (11) directed towards the floor of the passenger spaces. The upper volumes of the boarding platforms of the vehicle accommodate removable self-contained service units (5) which provide a number of spotlights (17), the heating/air conditioning equipment (16, 20, 21, 22) and the PA speaker (23) for a group of passenger seats. The surfaces (11) and their spacing are dimensioned to reflect the directed beams (15) of the spotlights (12) and to distribute the warmed/cooled air to the passenger spaces with optimum efficiency.
