<p>A filter housing assembly (10) for the filtration of liquids at high temperature and high pressure having a housing (30) for a filter cartridge (20), a flanged cap (50), that is slidingly inserted into the housing (30), and having a cap nut (60) for fastening and tightly sealing the cap (50) to a lip (31) on the housing (30). The interface housing-cap having grooves (94, 95, 96, 97) with centerlines offset in opposite directions for receiving sealants (90, 92) and having cone-shaped surfaces (53, 36) on the flange (52) and the lip (31) opposing flat surfaces (76, 56) on the cap nut (60) and the flange (52) respectively for achieving a tight seal. The housing (30) has a bottom with a concentric cylindrical recess (37) with an S-shaped edge (87, 88) for receiving a nose (22) of the cartridge (20).</p> |
