The screen is constructed of parallel metal slats (7;18), each with a row of tongues which extend from one edge of each slat. The tongues are angled upward and out of the plane of the screen, above the interspace to the next slat. They point in the direction of progressive motion of material on the working screen. Relative to the plane of the screen, their angle of inclination is 10-40 deg .
