Three transmitters (OSE1-OSE3) are connected by low-attenuation glass fibre light guides (GF) and optical couplers (K1,K2) to a central receiver (OEE). The couplers are chosen so that the optical power of each picture and sound transmission channel (1-3) at the input (02) to the receiver is the same. The receiver reconverts the optical signals into a broadband electrical signal which contains all of the AM carrier frequencies from the distant transmitters, and enables the channels to be selected simultaneously with commercially available TV receivers.
