The bottom valve has a jar-shaped cavity (27) wide enough internally to take at least part of the piston. The jar-shaped cavity is formed by a sleeve body (29) with a base (31) formed by a plate spring, and has a conical collar (33) on which rests a disc (21) covering the cross-section (19b) of flow of the damping medium from the equaliser space into the operating chamber. The through-flow cross-section for the direction of thrust of the piston is covered by at least one spring washer (23) tensioned between a support ring (37) joined to the sleeve body and an arm (35) on the base valve.
