Banknote checking system

The checking system for identifying counterfeit banknotes uses an ultra violet, UV, light source to actuate the fluorescent colour components used on real banknotes. The UV source is of low power and is installed with a cash register tray and is activated when the tray is opened. The light source is battery powered and the user may wear protective spectacles if considered necessary.
