Vehicle exhaust with catalytic converter and pre=burner

The vehicle exhaust unit has a catalytic converter fitted to transform undesirable gas elements. It is designed for very rapid warm-up. A burner pipe located before the converter is designed to aid transformation and accelerate achievement of the operating temperature. The burner pipe (4) carries catalytically active material (11). It extends into the exhaust line (1) and its surface located in the gas flow line is covered with the catalytic material.
