Plug connector for electrical circuit board

An electrical plug connection for use on circuit boards is in the form of a flat blade pin (4) that has a 'U' shaped end with prongs (5) that latch onto a contact (2) fixed to the board. The contact element is of circular cross section with a 'U' shape and with the ends (7) soldered into holes in the board. The tips (9) of the plug prongs are shaped to fit against the surface of the contact element. An alternative version has a flat, rectangular cross section contact element.
