A temperature regulated hybridization chamber (10) which includes an outer container (12) which defines a first chamber (22) for receiving a first fluid having a predetermined temperature and includes an inner container (36) which defines a second chamber (44) for receiving a second fluid. The inner container (36) is positioned within the first chamber (22) such that when the first fluid is positioned within the first chamber (22) the first fluid is in engagement with the inner container bottom wall (38) and inner container side wall (42). A drain conduit (64) is in fluid communication with the second chamber (44) for removing the second fluid from the second chamber (44) due to the force of gravity such that the second fluid in the inner chamber (44) is maintained at a temperature which is about equal to the predetermined temperature of the first fluid.
