<p>A passive electric power splitter/combiner is disclosed that can be smaller and less expensive than splitter/combiners in the prior art. Embodiments of the present invention can be fabricated which (1) have little loss other than the intrinsic split loss, (2) exhibit a uniform impedance at all ports, and (3) exhibit electrical isolation between the respective ports, except, of course, between the input and output ports. An illustrative embodiment splits a narrowband signal having a sinusoidal component at ω₀ radians per second into two signals. The illustrative embodiment comprises: a first inductor (117), a second inductor (119), a first capacitor (113), a second capacitor (115), a third capacitor (103) and a resistor, in the topology shown.</p> |
