Hydroxyphenyl-substituted polydiorganosiloxane oils having an average phenol equivalent within a specific range exhibit excellent heat resistance, release characteristics, and lubricity. They are suitable for use as mold release agents, for toner release in electrostatic copiers and as lubricants during false twisting of textile fibers.
