The folding holder has a holding ring (1) made from first (4) and second (5) half rings connected to each other by a rotary joint (8) which allows the half rings to be moved from a vertical folded position into a horizontal holding position. Rotary guides (3) are arranged on both sides of the first half ring (4) for the swivel movement from the vertical to the horizontal, and vice versa. Horizontal guide rails (2) are arranged on both sides of the walls of the storage compartment to support the second half ring (5).
