The disclosure describes a disc cartridge containing a disc-shaped recording medium, and comprising a cartridge body having an opening portion for exposing a portion of a surface of a disc contained therein, a shutter (9) for opening and closing the opening portion, and a slider (4) for supporting the shutter (9), disposed in the cartridge body in a state capable of sliding and being resiliently restored by a spring. The slide (4) is engaged slidably with a groove or protrusion (8) formed along a side of the cartridge body by way of an engagement part (6) and at least a portion of an engaging structure between the engagement part (6) of the slider (4) and the cartridge body makes a line contact at between a protrusion or groove (14) of the engagement part (6) of the slider (4) and the groove or the protrusion (8) of the cartridge body. <IMAGE>
