An operating member 1 and relay operating member 2 are interconnected through a driving cable 5. Inserted through the relay operating member 2 are an inner cable portion 6i of a first driven cable 6 adapted to engage the relay operating member 2 only upon movement of the latter in one direction C, and an inner cable portion 7i of a second driven cable 7 adapted to engage the relay operating member 2 only upon movement of the latter in the other direction D. Thus, operating forces alternately applied to the operating member 1 in two directions are efficiently transferred individually to two driven portions 3, 4 through the single driving cable 5 and the two driven cables 6, 7 to reliably operate the driven portions 3, 4.
