This is formed from a small hopper 1 which takes the coins from the conventional insertion groove in the machine and allows them to fall under gravity onto a conveyor belt 4 actuated by a gear motor 7 (automatically in the presence of a coin on said belt), additionally having transverse embossings or ribs 8, which are regularly distributed, distanced so that between two adjacent ribs only one coin 9 can be accommodated, with which there also interacts a kind of brush 10 which is associated with the exit mouth of the hopper 1 and sweeps the conveyor belt 4, preventing the latter being able to entrain two superposed coins 9, said conveyor belt 4 opening out onto the discriminator 11, all in such a manner that the coins arrive at the discriminator individually, in the correct position and suitably distanced in time for discrimination to take place without interference from coins on top of others. <IMAGE>
