<p>The device according to the invention involves a relatively flexible flat label which has, on one side, a pointed shape (5) whose two lateral edges have two respective notches (9, 10) and which is intended to be engaged in a slot (4) made in a shoulder of the lip of a container. The pointed part (5) and the slot (4) are shaped so as to cause, upon engagement, a discontinuity of shape of the lateral borders (7, 8) until the notches (9, 10) reach the level of the slot (4) and, consequently, the lateral borders reassume their initial shape, immobilising the support axially in the slot (4).
