<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate exchange of a shaft seal and enable the shaft seal to be mounted on various kinds of mechanical devices without increasing the number of parts. CONSTITUTION:After a ball bearing 3 whose inner race is pressed in a rotary shaft 20 is inserted in a recess 1a provided on the end face of the housing 1 of a swash plate type piston pump and fixed by snap rings 4A, 4B, the rotary shaft 20 is allowed to pass through the bearing 3 and a shaft seal 2 is inserted therein and fixed by attaching bolts 8 via an adaptor 5 attached to the housing 1. An engagement face 5a is formed on the flange part outer circumference face of the adaptor 5, and the size and shape of engagement face 5a are so determined as capable of engaging with the attaching face of a mechanical device, when the housing 1 is mounted on the other mechanical device.</p> |
