PURPOSE: To remove appropriately an organic material containing hydrocarbons by calcining a catalyst under a gas flow of a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION: In the first process, a catalyst comprising a silica impregnated with an acid containing impurities is calcined under a gas flow containing molecular oxygen, for example, air or pure oxygen with a flow rate of about 0.05 to about 10 liter/h/g of a material treated, preferably about 0.1 to about 5 liter/h/g, at 100-400 deg.C, preferably 100-350 deg.C, more preferably 170-330 deg.C. The period of this treatment is preferably between several minute (for example 3 minutes) and 8 hours. Then, a solid obtained at the end of the first process is calcined under a flow of gas containing molecular oxygen, for example, air or pure oxygen with a flow rate of about 0.05 to about 10 liter/h/g of a material treated, at 400-600 deg.C, preferably 450-550 deg.C, so as to remove depositions containing hydrocarbons still existing on the silica. |
