<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a measuring time and at the same time reduce burden to a sphygmomanometric portion in connection with sphygmomanometry. CONSTITUTION:A cuff 1 is fitted to an upper arm being a sphygmomanometric portion, and then the gradual pressure rise of the cuff 1 is carried out, and at the same time at each stop (a measuring period), micro pressure reduction or micro pressure increase is conducted, and a pulsation wave is detected during its period. On the basis of the pulsation wave thus detected, the data of the highest blood pressure, the lowest blood pressure, the average blood pressure and the pulsation number are displayed at a display portion 16. Thus, by conducting micro pressure reduction at a measuring period, load to a sphygmomanometric portion is reduced, and a regular pulsation wave detecting time is shortened. As a result, the whole measuring time is shortened and burden to the sphygmomanometric portion is reduced. Also, by conducting micro pressure rise at each measuring period, the pressure rise time of each step is shortened. As a result, the whole measuring time is shortened and burden to the sphygmomanometric portion is reduced.</p> |
